Authors Note
By Liam McAllister 812
I wanted to do the story on accepting others differences because I believe that it’s a very important topic. Although I’ve never felt excluded because of my differences this topic is still very important to me because I think if everyone would accept others differences there would be less war and violence and maybe the Holocaust might have been prevented.

I came up with the approach to the story of Ted and his camouflage fur from two different books. One of my favorite picture books, Gaston by Kelly DiPucchio, helped me identify that I wanted my book to be about accepting others’ differences. Also The Lorax by Dr. Seuss inspired me to explore my creativity with the drawing and the language.
